Artist statement:
"I taught art for 36 years at Blue River Valley Schools in Henry County. Teaching grades K-12 exposed me to many different art forms. After retiring, I continue to add new art forms to my repertoire including wood carving, needle felting, and water color pencils on vintage papers. I was commissioned to do eight realistic full size birds for the Rinard Orchid Greenhouse at Ball State University. I am proud to have my art displayed at my alma mater. Henry County Library has four of my book related art works on display. I like that much of my art includes recycled materials. My husband and I now live in Batesville.
