Margaret Parker

Margaret Couch Parker loves to create. She has a fine arts degree from Denison University. She taught in the Greensburg Schools for 27 years and was the children's librarian at the old Carnegie Library for several years.  She is married to Ed Parker, art glass artist and together they raised two sons, the lights of her life and now grandchildren.
"I love to create in a variety of media and like to rotate  among them: painting, mosaics, drawing, quilting, knitting and whatever takes my fancy.  I get and idea or notice an effect in nature, see something interesting - shape or shadow or color - and become inspired to share it.  I am surprised that out of chaos of creation comes my work.  Often one project or challenge will lead to the next one or become a series.  Currently I am developing my plein air painting and placing myself in nature to express what I see and feel there...capturing the light and color I see.  I work from life observation and from my edited photographs creating the song of my art.

With time comes creating time.
With time comes fun time.
With time comes reflective time.
With time comes puzzle-solving time.
With time comes choices and balances.
